Maths Trek 4/11/26

Professional learning time is shrinking, which means something has to give and too often it’s the very training and support that help you make the most of your resources, and drive better outcomes for your students.
So we’ve rethought what professional learning can look like with Maths Trek. Rather than asking for more of your time, we’ve built flexible options that fit around the hours you actually have.
As with any program, it’s important for your whole teaching staff to share a consistent understanding of its approach. Maths Trek’s professional learning options are designed to make that happen without adding pressure to an already full plate.
Let’s explore the range of professional learning options available to schools implementing Maths Trek in 2027:
Workshops are invaluable both for schools new to Maths Trek as well as those familiar with the program. For schools adopting Maths Trek for the first time, a workshop is an important opportunity to introduce the Maths Trek program and ensure your school gets off to a strong start. For schools already using the program, the workshop allows your existing and new staff to brush up on key components and provides an opportunity to address any questions that may have arisen while using Maths Trek.
Our workshops go beyond simply showcasing the Maths Trek resources. They take a deep dive into the latest research and evidence-based practices, and provide educators with practical ways to translate this knowledge into classrooms. Maths Trek workshops offerings include:
Our team of highly experienced Education Consultants are former classroom teachers, curriculum leaders and principals who provide these free workshops tailored to meet the specific needs of your school.
With Maths Trek, you can choose either an in-school or virtual professional learning workshop, depending on your requirements.
Where possible, we highly recommend our school workshops. There’s nothing quite like an in-person workshop that focuses on the areas of interest for your staff and your school’s goals. Whether you want to build proficiency in delivering the program effectively or take a deeper dive into critical thinking and best practice, our experienced Education Consultants will tailor the session to your needs.
Where we can’t facilitate an in-person workshop, we can still run a school workshop virtually, anywhere across Australia.
If after-school staff workshops aren’t possible, we’ll work around your timetable, including release-time sessions during school hours or pupil free days. All workshops conclude with a Q&A session where teachers can directly ask the presenter questions.
Public sessions are held virtually outside of school hours and are open to the public. As such, they have a generalised focus to suit the varying needs of all attendees. In each session, the presenter takes you through Maths Trek’s structured framework and intuitive resources. As with the in-school workshops, public virtual workshops conclude with a Q&A session where teachers can ask the presenter questions.
Whether you opt for in-school or virtual workshops, these sessions will ensure a seamless and consistent teaching approach for your school.
In addition to our workshops, you can access a range of on-demand professional learning resources, including articles, videos and technical support.
These resources can be accessed any time that suits you and are designed to give you ongoing guidance and practical ideas as you implement Maths Trek throughout the year.
With a focus on real classroom strategies, our professional learning options help teachers build confidence in their instruction, improve student outcomes and create a collaborative learning environment.
Research shows that ongoing professional learning leads to consistent, confident implementation of best practice. That’s why every school in Australia has a dedicated Education Consultant, offering tailored, flexible support year-round.
Support comes in many forms: leadership meetings to answer your questions, in-depth workshops on key research insights and best practice, and check-ins to make sure you’re on the right track, or simply a phone call or email query answered straight away.
