Each year, the Educational Publishing Awards Australia recognise excellence and innovation in the Australian education landscape.
With our two newest programs – English Stars and Think Mentals – on this year’s short list, we had hoped to come away with at least one award. So you can imagine how thrilled we are to announce that we won not one, not two – but four awards!
We’re particularly honoured to receive the major award for Excellence in Australian Educational Publishing 2016, which is given to the best overall product across primary, secondary and tertiary education. Now that’s something to toot our own horn about!
Firefly company directors Peter Stannard and Ann Smales acknowledged the efforts and passion that led to two award-winning programs.
‘This is what we love to do,’ says Peter. ‘We strive to create innovative programs that engage young learners.’
‘Having been teachers ourselves, we know what it’s like in the classroom,’ adds Ann. ‘It’s really important that we create programs that support busy teachers.’
With an experienced team of authors and educators for each winning series, supported by a creative publishing team, it was an honour to be recognised among the best of the best in Australian educational publishing.
Congratulations to our fellow finalists and winners, and a big thankyou to the Australian Publishers Association for acknowledging the achievements in this important industry.
